Schrodinger's model


Erwin Schrodinger was an important Austrian physicist who developed an equation of great importance for the field of Quantum Theory, the Schrodinger Equation.

The physicist tried to describe wave motion, as Louis De Broglie had claimed that matter behaved as a wave and as a particle (dualistic behavior).

He then came to the famous equation that took his name, becoming the basic formula of wave mechanics, earning him the Nobel Prize, along with the English physicist Paul Dirac, in 1933.
